“We Shall Overcome: A Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” will be held at the Hylton Center on Sunday afternoon. Hear the compelling words of the great Martin Luther King, Jr. interwoven with incredible music created by African-American artists during the Civil Rights movement in this inspired production. Conceived and created by the accomplished musical artist Damien Sneed, We Shall Overcome blends actual recordings of Dr. King’s speeches with music from African-American traditions. Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association from Masroor Mosque Virginia is partnering with Harvest Pack for a Meal Packing event on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Join them to celebrate a Day of Service. Winter Farmers Markets

The Manassas Farmers Market is still going through the winter. Look for craft vendors, a coffee vendor, Rainbow Acres Farm (eggs and meat), 7 Acres Farm, Great Harvest Bread, Redfox creations, Tanas Kitchen, Happy Family Ranch, and more. It will be smaller than the prime market but just as good. SNAP still accepted. Saturdays through March 16, 8:00 a. m. – 1:00 p. m. | 9024 Prince William Street, Manassas

The Dale City Farmers Market has nearly 50 vendors and is one of the largest farmers markets in the region. The market is a producer-only market, meaning all products must be grown or made by the seller. They do not accept “resales” or craft items.
