The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) announced that on Wednesday night, July 23, crews will begin installing a new overhead sign on I-95 near Lorton Road (Route 642). Each night, from Wednesday, July 23 through Saturday, July 26, motorists should expect the I-395/95 High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes to be closed from the Washington D.C. line to Dumfries Road (Route 234). Additionally, all regular travel lanes on I-95 north and south near Lorton Road, mile marker 163, will be closed for temporary periods of up to 30 minutes after midnight tonight and Saturday night. These closures are necessary for crews to safely remove an overhead sign structure and set a new sign structure, which will span across all lanes of I-95, including the future 95 Express Lanes.
