Pier at the Potomac Science Center Town Hall Meeting
You are invited to a Town Hall meeting to hear about George Mason University’s Pier at the Potomac Science Center construction project. George Mason University will be constructing a dock system that will host several research vessels in support of marine research and educational programs. The pier will provide faculty and students with access to the Occoquan River. The town hall meeting will provide information on the design plans for the project, the construction timeline, research and educational uses of the pier, and an opportunity to ask questions. In the Footsteps of the Excelsior Brigade: The Battle of Kettle Run, 164 Years Later
Commemorate the 164th anniversary of the Battle of Kettle Run with a guided hike in the footsteps of the famed Excelsior Brigade, exploring their critical role in the battle. The tour will highlight the personal stories of soldiers who filled the ranks of the brigade, offering a human perspective on the experiences of those who fought there and the cost of battle. The program lasts approximately 90 minutes and includes about 1.5 miles of walking over uneven terrain. Comfortable walking shoes and water are recommended. Prince William Senior Resource Group Happy Hour With a Purpose
The Prince William Senior Resource Group (PWSRG) is preparing for its 11th Annual Happy Hour With a Purpose, bringing local professionals together for an evening of networking while raising funds for a local nonprofit.
