Pied Piper Theatre’s production of Disney’s FROZEN, Jr. opens for one show only on July 19 at 7:00 p. m. The show will be held at Gar-Field High School, 14000 Smoketown Road, Woodbridge.

Newly released, this wonderful production provides the opportunity to experience the kingdom of Arrendale with Elsa and Anna. All of the delightful mixture of characters from Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf to the hidden folks of the woods makes this both an entertaining and educational experience for all ages. With music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and book by Jennifer Lee, FROZEN, Jr. is based on the Disney film written by Jennifer Lee and directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee.

The culmination of a three-week intensive workshop, 35 young actors bring the many characters in FROZEN, Jr. to life. Sophie Osmani portrays the oldest royal daughter, Elsa. A rising sophomore at Colgan High School, Sophie has appeared in six Pied Piper productions including “Newsies”, “Enchanted Sleeping Beauty”, and “The Little Mermaid”. She has also participated in County, District, State, Regional, and National Honors Choirs. The role of Anna is played by Danielle Serrano-Bremer, a rising 8th grader at Gainesville Middle School. She was recently Lily St. Regis in Pied Piper’s Annie, Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical, Jr., and Dorothy in The Wiz. Danielle was a member of All-State Choir this past year.

Directed and choreographed by Shania Stewart Duane and musically directed by Adele Williams, Disney’s FROZEN, Jr. showcases all of your favorite songs including “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” “Love is an Open Door,” “In Summer,” and of course, “Let it Go.” With colorful costumes by Annaliess Trommatter, lighting design by Rebecca Parsons, sound design by Zachary Duane, and stage managed by Mia Catherine Giles, you won’t want to miss this magical musical production.

Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for children 12 and under. They may be purchased online at center-for-the-arts.org/tickets. Tickets will also be available at the door. Pied Piper Theatre’s production of Disney’s FROZEN, Jr. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
