Provided by Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue
The 23rd annual Dulles Day Family Festival and Plane Pull presented by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and Software AG is Saturday, September 19th from 11am – 4pm at Dulles International Airport in Sterling. The Council of Governments (COG) Fire Prevention and Life Safety Committee are again proud to be participating in this year’s event.
Fire and Rescue personnel from the metro region have come together to provide safety information to the attendees. There will be a “Plan Your Great Escape” obstacle course where children (and adults) can learn what they need to do if there is a fire in their home. “Last year, over 1200 children and their families went through the Escape Course,” said Chief Kevin McGee of the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue. “We hope to see many more this year, at Dulles, as we move into the fall months and many fire prevention activities are set for next month throughout the region.”
The COG member groups are again excited to be involved with this year’s special event and encourage all attendees to stop by their booth to learn important safety tips!
