Police Activity on Aspen Place

On March 3, 2016 at approximately 1:30 p. m., Manassas City Police were called to the scene for shots fired in the 9600 block of Aspen Place in Manassas.  Two Hispanic males were observed firing at a passing vehicle.  Suspects were then seen running into 9605 Aspen Lane.  An anonymous source has told police that there may be high powered rifles and automatic rifles in the home.  Police have recovered bullets and several vehicles have sustained damage from the gunfire.

School children on the north side of the Georgetown South Community have been held in school until the situation is clear for them to travel home.  PWL More details will be available as the situation is resolved.  Residents are asked to stay away from the area until it is cleared.

Due to the nature of the firearms that may be in the home on Aspen Place, Manassas City Police Department has asked a team with the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) to consult on the activity.
