Care Net Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs) will host a Grand Opening and Open House of its new Woodbridge Pregnancy Medical Center, First Care Women’s Health, on Tuesday, April 16 from 3:00-5:00 p. m.
A Grand Opening and a New Name
The event will be at the new location, 13189 Centerpointe Way, just off Prince William Parkway at Hillendale Center in Woodbridge. Care Net PRCs’ Pregnancy Medical Center in Manassas, along with this new Center in Woodbridge, will be known as First Care Women’s Health. For nearly 30 years, Care Net PRCs has been a local nonprofit Pregnancy Center, and has served thousands of women experiencing unplanned pregnancy.
The Grand Opening begins at 3:00 p. m. Featured speakers are U.S. Congressman Rob Wittman; Laura Glessner, Care Net PRCs Founder; Pastor Brad Kirby, First Baptist Church of Woodbridge; Becky Sheetz, CEO, Care Net Pregnancy Resource Centers/First Care Women’s Health; and Dr. Harry Beaver, Medical Director, First Care Women’s Health. The Open House is open for tours from 3:30-5:00 p. m..
What is Offered
First Care Women’s Health provides free medical services to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Some of these services include:
- Limited obstetrical ultrasound
- Medical grade urine pregnancy tests
- Pre-natal education and support
- Baby clothing and supplies for clients
- Referrals for medical and community resources
- Abortion recovery
“I’m very excited that after nearly 30 years we’re expanding our services to Woodbridge where we will be equipped with ultrasound and medical resources to provide this life-saving and life-giving ministry to women and men involved in unplanned pregnancies,” said Dr. Harry Beaver, Medical Director, First Care Women’s Health. “Beyond that, we provide life-saving information about their relationship with Jesus Christ,” said Dr. Beaver.
“Expanding our pregnancy medical services with ultrasound to Woodbridge has been a major objective of this ministry for many years. We are so grateful to our supporters and friends for their many years of faithfulness. Having this Woodbridge Medical Center open is a vision that is finally being fulfilled, and we are excited for what God will do,” said Becky Sheetz, CEO, Care Net PRCs/First Care Women’s Health. “Our name will change for our clients, but our mission and vision remain the same,” said Sheetz.
