We’re profiling local businesses and learning how they’re adjusting during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meet Tim Rook of Premier Martial Arts (9231 Sudley Road, Manassas, 571-330-9359).
Tell our readers about your company.
Premier Martial Arts is proud to support area kids during this time of quarantine. We’re giving them a chance to be entertained, receive character development messages, and get some great exercise though a free online lesson program. Area families are tuning in to our Zoom class and having a blast learning the basic skill of karate and Krav Maga self-defense.
In addition to the online kids program, Premier Martial Arts has started free online Women Self Defense lessons. You can join the movement by visiting the Facebook group page.
If you are a brick and mortar company open to the public, what are you doing to assure staff and clients are safe?
We have closed our doors to the public and moved all our classes online. We’ve minimized our staff to the core managers to help with online classes and member communications. Other instructors are working from home and have built mini-dojos in their homes to conduct private online classes.
If you are a brick and mortar company with limited access to the public, what services are you offering?
- Free online classes with our Facebook groups
- Women’s-only self-defense group
- Summer camps will start as soon as we’re approved to re-open our doors
If you are a brick and mortar company that is closed, what are you doing during this time to promote your business?
We’re offering online classes for children martial arts, adult Kickboxing, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiujitsu training. We have also started a free online course for women’s self-defense.
