The previously announced closure of the ramp from Route 29 North to I-66 East in Centreville has been rescheduled for early 2020. The traffic pattern change had been planned to begin this week.
The I-66 bridges over Route 29 in Centreville are being demolished as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway project. They will be rebuilt to accommodate future transportation improvements at the interchange.
Drivers should expect additional construction-related detours and traffic changes as work progresses at the Route 29/I-66 Interchange.
