The Georgetown South Community Council, INC in cooperation with the Manassas City Police Department proudly announces its participation in the third annual Litter Enforcement Month taking place from April 1 – April 30, 2013 throughout the Washington, DC Metro area. In an effort to reduce litter, the Manassas City Police Department with support from the Alice Ferguson Foundation and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments Police Chiefs’ Committee, will strictly enforce already existing litter and illegal dumping laws. In the first week of April, the Georgetown South Community Council, INC will remind all residents in writing of the Code of Manassas regarding trash. During the rest of the month, our staff will report all observed LITTER violations to the Manassas City Police Department for enforcement and we encourage all residents to do the same by calling 703-257-8000.
