Keep Prince William Beautiful Inc. was proud to partner with New Balance Factory Store, opening this summer at Potomac Mills, for the Earth Day Celebration on The Plaza at the County Complex held on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event honored Earth Day consisting of over 20 booths and 200 attendees who participated in fun games and activities.
Shannon Wimberly, store manager of the new factory store, contacted KPWB seeking volunteer opportunities in the Prince William County area. The celebration consisted of booths, fun games and activities. New Balance volunteers assisted with the KPWB booth, playing recycling trivia and litter education games. Having a great time, one volunteer stated “…it’s great to see retailers getting involved in the community and seeing our local nonprofits supported by these larger businesses.”
KPWB strives to educate and inform today’s citizens about working together to keep our environment beautiful. Keep Prince William Beautiful Inc. looks forward to future community volunteer efforts with New Balance Factory Store at Potomac Mills.
