Prince William Chamber of Commerce Hires Director of Government Relations, Brendon Shaw

Manassas, Virginia – This month the members and staff of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce welcome Brendon Shaw as their new Director of Government Relations. Shaw replaces Nancy Hiteshue who recently became the Policy Director for the Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance.

Brendon ShawBrendon is a long time Prince William County resident. He is a graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Government and International Studies. For six years he worked on numerous political campaigns on the federal, state and local levels along the east coast. He has also spent two years doing community outreach and public relations work for the EV Hunter Trust, a Northern Virginia-based, family owned land trust which operates out of Fairfax County. Most recently Brendon worked in the office of Delegate Jackson Miller as his legislative aide. Jackson Miller is the Majority Whip in the Virginia House of Delegates and represents the City of Manassas and parts of Western Prince William County.

“I am excited about this opportunity and cannot wait to join the excellent leadership team in serving an active and diverse business community,” says Shaw. “I look forward to working with the Chamber’s membership and our Prince William area elected officials to ensure that our community remains one of the most attractive places to do business in the Commonwealth.”

Debbie Bennett, the Prince William Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board notes that the Chamber leadership is actively pursuing ways to help members connect the dots between Chamber advocacy efforts and benefits to their businesses, “We are pleased to bring Brendon on to the Chamber staff with the hope that his passion for his work will be contagious. We want our members of all sizes to see a direct connection between the work that the Chamber is doing and their bottom line. It’s all about communication and Brendon has some great ideas about how to connect with our membership to be sure they remain active in our efforts.”
