As the Prince William Chamber of Commerce prepares to host its 40th Annual Valor Awards, the community will once again come together to recognize the extraordinary public safety professionals who serve Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park with courage, professionalism, and dedication.
The Valor Awards, scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, have become one of the Chamber’s most respected traditions, honoring first responders and public safety personnel whose actions have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
This year’s ceremony will be co-emceed by Rebecca Barnes, Publisher of Prince William Living, Past Chairman of the Chamber, and Public Information Officer for Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department, alongside Todd Hewitt. Hewitt is also a past Chairman of the Chamber and is the President of Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department.
“For four decades, the Valor Awards have reminded us of the incredible people who show up every day to protect our communities,” Barnes said. “These honorees represent the very best of public service, and it is an honor to help recognize their commitment and sacrifice.”
The annual event brings together business leaders, elected officials, families, and residents to celebrate the individuals behind the badge, uniform, and emergency response systems that keep the region safe. The Chamber encourages the community to attend and help recognize this year’s honorees.
