Fire trucks, rescue demonstrations, children’s activities, and plenty of fall fun are coming together for an afternoon designed to give families a closer look at the people and equipment that help keep Prince William County safe.

The Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue will host its 3rd Annual Fire and Rescue Expo and Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at Pfitzner Stadium, 7 County Complex Court in Woodbridge.

The event is free and open to the community.

Get an Up-Close Look at Fire and Rescue

For children who have ever wanted to see a fire truck up close, and adults who are curious about the work of local first responders, the expo offers an opportunity to learn more about Prince William County Fire and Rescue in an informal, family-friendly setting.

According to event information provided by the department, activities will include:

  • Fire truck tours
  • Rescue demonstrations
  • Games and activities for children
  • Food and additional festival activities

The combination of demonstrations and hands-on activities gives families a chance to learn about fire and rescue services while enjoying an afternoon out together.

A Fall Afternoon for the Whole Family

The Fire and Rescue Expo adds a seasonal festival atmosphere with pumpkins, fall activities, and opportunities for children to interact with local first responders.

Beyond the fun, events like this give residents an opportunity to become more familiar with the emergency personnel and resources serving their community.
