Did you know that the Historic Preservation Division preserves 13 sites and over 750 acres of historically and culturally significant property throughout Prince William County? Historic Preservation strives to tell the story of the County’s history and provide the community a chance to learn and engage in these historic places. Prince William County’s rich heritage features diverse cultures spanning hundreds of years.
Beginning May 1, the Ben Lomond Historic Site, Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre and Rippon Lodge Historic Site will open for tours Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with tours offered at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park will offer guided tours the second and fourth weekends of the month from May to October at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
In addition to the regular tours, Historic Preservation will host a variety of special programs at historic sites including:
