In commemoration of Black History Month, the Prince William County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism launched the revised African American History Trail. The trail was launched in February 2021.

Originally released in 2010, the revised tour includes over 20 sites in both Prince William County and Manassas. The revised trail allows residents to explore Prince William County’s rich African American history. Containing sites ranging from federal, state and local parks to historic communities and churches, the trail includes sites in all regions of the County and encompasses time periods from the 1600s to today.
Residents and visitors can access the trail’s webpage at: visitpwc.com/history/black-history/.
