The Salvation Army of Prince William County kicked off its holiday season on Friday, Nov. 13, with a toy drive at the Woodbridge Walmart. WTGS FM radio station broadcasted the event—a great boost to start the season.

The Salvation Army has registered 1,200 angels for this year’s Angel Tree project. They need volunteers to staff Red Kettles at locations across Prince William County, as well as to make monetary and toy donations.

Below is a list of projects and the contact information for each:

  • Be an Angel Tree warehouse volunteer, or work Angel Tree registration at the Manassas Mall from Nov. 27 to Dec. 7. To sign up, call 703.580.8991 and leave your name, email address, cell phone number and dates of availability.
  • Be a Red Kettle volunteer bell ringer at one of the 25 locations in the Prince William County area, including Walmart, Giant, Safeway and Hobby Lobby. Visit the Register to Ring website to volunteer as an individual or a group, or to make a donation.
  • Donate towards a Christmas Basket for a local family. Visit the Salvation Army Christmas Basket website to learn more.
  • Make a toy donation through Walmart. Visit the Walmart Angel Tree website to donate toys or clothing for infants to youth 12 years of age. Volunteers can also donate items at any Walmart or the Prince William County (PWC) Salvation Army Headquarters, 1483 Old Bridge Road, Suite 102, Woodbridge. Please call 703.580.8991 ahead of time for availability.

Please direct questions to the PWC Salvation Army Headquarters at 703.580.8991, or email Majors Kelly or Regina Durant. They may also be reached via cell phone at 540.303.4561.

Consider making this a memorable season for our “angels” of Prince William County through the Salvation Army—”Doing the most good.”
