Prince William Little Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of Tuesdays with Morrie will have a special Q&A on Saturday, March 24 with Richard Harris, a man with a special connection to the real Morrie Schwartz.
Over 20 years ago when Mr. Harris was reading the paper, he saw an article about Professor Morrie Schwartz and his decision to live his life to the fullest after his diagnosis with ALS. Harris was so moved that he brought the story to his boss, Ted Koppel, who then wanted to interview Schwartz for “Nightline.” This interview was life changing for many – most notably for a former student named Mitch Albom. The two friends reconnected and their visits are chronicled in the best-selling book “Tuesdays with Morrie.”
Richard Harris will be joining the cast after the Saturday, March 24 performance of Tuesdays with Morrie for a 30-minute Question and Answer session. The play begins at 8:00 p. m. and runs for approximately 90 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. Tickets can be purchased through the PWLT website at PWLT.org.
