Katrina Wilson, contributing writer for Prince William Living,  will be in the Christian movie, Behind Church Doors, which is to be filmed in Baltimore.

Getting Back Into Acting

Wilson said she has been acting since she was in middle school. She attended a school of the arts in Summerville, South Carolina, for theatre. She now resides in Chantilly, and saw the audition request for Behind Church Doors on the acting website Backstage.

“One of my theatre peers introduced me to Backstage,” Wilson said. “I saw the production needed actors with an acting style similar to mine. I had to do the application because I have been wanting to get back into acting.” She put acting on hold after college, where she majored in mass communication and minored in theatre.

Wilson was cast in the upcoming movie Behind Church Doors, a story that balances real issues faced by real people with forgiveness. She said her role is a “small part,” but it is the right size role she needs to get back into acting. Her character, Clara Lee, makes the choice to change her life, and her reactions after her decision are priceless. The movie weaves comedy and Christianity effortlessly to reach various audiences.

Wilson said the director and her team are still looking for day players and extras, as well as sponsors for the movie. For businesses and organizations interested in marketing opportunities or sponsorship, email bcdsponsorship@gmail.com. Producer credits are also available for patrons and small donors. Donations for the movie may be made through the movie’s GoFundMe. account.
