An America Recycles Day Free Family Fun Event in October

Prince William, VA, October 2, 2015 – The Prince William County Landfill will host its annual Prince William Recycles Day event on Saturday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free event will feature “edutainment” by GoodLife Theatre’s Recycling Pirates. Plus, lots of fun games, prizes, face painting, free food, a recycled art display, interactive equipment displays, recyclable material bales and landfill tours.

The landfill is located at 14811 Dumfries Road, Manassas, VA and landfill tours, will take place throughout the day. The Recycling Pirates, a rollicking musical about puppets created from trash that sail the urban seas looking for things to recycle, reuse, reduce and repair will take the stage at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Prince William residents are encouraged to attend this family-friendly event to learn more about the importance of recycling, reuse and waste reduction in Prince William County and how that benefits the environment and the economy.
