‘Tis the season of giving and your local library would love to be on your “nice” list. Check out our Amazon wish list on our website where you’ll find suggestions for items we need. Gift us a holiday cookbook, a board book about winter for the wee ones, or even book one of a new fiction series – we can use them all! And remember: you can request that an item be given in honor or memory of someone or ask us to place a donor bookplate on the material. Start your shopping with us and thanks in advance for loving your library!

December Programs

Dr. Henriques will focus on the lives of a handful of Washington’s enslaved workers with the goal of fleshing out these fascinating, but largely forgotten individuals. Additional links for information:
Meet a real live 9-1-1 operator who will tell you what to do when you have an emergency. Find out what you should know now, and what you should do then!

Come for a story and photo opp with Santa! Don’t worry if you forget your camera. Staff will be happy to take pictures and email them to you.

Impossible magic tricks, off-the-wall comedy, and lots of audience participation, with a few books thrown in. A delightful magic show not to be missed!
The ballet is back, just in time for winter break! The whole family is invited to an up-close ballet performance, courtesy of the ASAPH Ensemble.
Come on into Chinn Park Library and listen to Lou Vatale and his Jazz band play. They will be entertaining patrons with a wide variety of jazz and holiday songs for your listening enjoyment.
Come enjoy holiday music presented by the a cappella groups of Charles J. Colgan Senior High School.
It’s almost 2019, and this afternoon, we’re gonna party like it’s 1984! Get your best 80s outfit on and join us for dancing, snacks, games, and a pop culture trivia contest. Registration required.
