The Prince William Public Library System (PWPLS) offers a number of programs throughout the year for all ages including families, children, teens and adults. PWPLS would like to highlight some of those programs and events below. Please visit our website (www.pwcgov.org/library) to learn more about all of the events offered for the month.
Systemwide events:
Thursday, December 31 – all branches close at 5:00 p.m.
Friday, January 1 – New Year’s Day Holiday
Saturday, January 2 – All neighborhood libraries closed

Montclair Community Library Opening January 11
The greatly anticipated Montclair Community Library is opening for business on Monday, January 11, at 10:00 a.m. We’ll be having a special open house on Saturday, January 23, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. PWL Check out our Explore magazine for information on storytimes and other events for children, teens, and adults at Montclair Library!
Friday & Saturday, January 8 and 9: 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Sunday, January 10: 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Brown bag sale: Fill a bag for $3.00.
Beat the winter blues with cheap retail therapy! Find gently used books, movies, CDs, and more at the Friends’ book sale, and help the library at the same time.

Learn the science of emergency preparedness and turn a pillowcase (supplied by Disney and the Red Cross) into a ‘friend in need.’ You’ll also learn what to put in the pillowcase so you’ll be prepared for emergencies.

Tom Suit from Prince William Hypnosis Center will explain how your subconscious mind can be retrained to eliminate bad habits and replace them with new productive ones. Drop in.
