The Prince William Public Library System (PWPLS) offers a number of programs throughout the year for all ages including families, children, teens, and adults. PWPLS would like to highlight some of those programs and events below. Please visit our website (pwcgov.org/library) to learn more about all of the events offered for the month.

Summer reading is in full swing and you have plenty of time to participate. Prizes for reading, fun challenges, and free events for all!
Bull Run Regional Library: Thursday, July 12, 2:00 p. m.
Central Community Library: Tuesday, July 31, 2:30 p. m.
At Bull Run Library, you’ll meet live animals including birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians and how they live in their unique habitats. At Central Library, you’ll meet live Virginia animals such as an Eastern screech owl, box turtle, and others. Entering grades 1 and up. Click the link for admission information.

Experience Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, a fantastical tale of pirates, adventure, and buried treasure! Throughout this swashbuckling tale, you’ll learn the danger of greed and the importance of helping others. Entering grades 1 and up. Transform negativity into positivity by learning how to see life’s challenges through a different lens. Handouts and activities will teach you how to be successful at work and at home.
