Our toddler series is specifically designed for toddlers ages 2-3 years old. This parent/child program explores different nature themes through books, storytelling, rhymes, songs, sensory activities, play, and lots of creative fun. Location: Lee’s Woods Trailhead
Take a walk through the woods with a ranger and get to know the unique history of the land now known as Leesylvania State Park. You will see historic sites from the 1700s, 1800s, and even into the 1900s along this two-mile trail. For more information please call (703)583-6904.

Location: Register at the Visitor Center and then meet at Canoe Launch
Join a ranger for a guided canoe tour on Powell’s Creek. You’ll get to see wildlife, marsh plants, and test your skills in a canoe. Please register with the Visitor Center 24 hours in advance. Fee is $9.00 per person, or $6.00 per person when reserving for groups of four or more. For more information please call (703)583-6904.

Location: Fishing Pier
During the spring and summer, osprey dominate the skies over Leesylvania as they build nests and raise their young. Join a ranger to get a closer look at these feathered fishermen. Learn where they go in the winter and what adaptations they have that make them so good at living over the water. For more information please call 703-583-6904.

We need your help! Leesylvania has a high volume of people on the weekends which leaves our beautiful park needing some care. We have many different opportunities to choose from so scrounge up your work clothes, boots, water bottle, and your friends.
7/18/17, 7:30 p. m. – 8:30 p. m. Friends of Leesylvania Monthly Meeting
Location: Visitor Center
The Friends of Leesylvania State Park help the park serve visitors and protect the park’s natural resources. The group raises money and supports park programs such as the Junior Rangers, Free Kids Fishing Tournaments, and Haunted History Hikes. Friends also help guests and promote the park’s unique nature and history, as well as fishing, boating and more. Members have many interests and various backgrounds. There are several membership options. Feel free to email Friends of Leesylvania (friendsofleesylvania@gmail.com) to learn more or come to one of their meetings. They meet the third Tuesday of each month.
