PWCS Educator a Fulbright Scholarship Winner

Rippon Middle School’s language arts teacher, Catey Borden, has received a Fulbright Scholarship Award. Borden applied for the Fulbright Award last year as an undergraduate at George Mason University; she is a 2018 graduate. As a part of her Fulbright, Borden will live overseas. She will teach English as a second language and a cultural seminar at a Gymnasium (Gymnasium is a general studies high school) in the Czech Republic next year.

The Fulbright Scholarship Award is one of the most prestigious national academic awards for undergraduate students in the U.S. This program began in 1946 and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
