Students from several high schools represented PWCS well at the recent state conference of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). The conference, held in Reston, brought thousands of students from across Virginia together to enhance their business skills, expand their networks, and participate in business and business-related competitive events.
By placing in the top four in their categories, the following students qualified to compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in San Antonio June 29 – July 2.
From Battlefield High School:
Saahas Gowda – 1st place – Public Speaking
From Forest Park High School:
Matthew Clifton – 3rd place – Coding and Programming and Game Simulation
Calvin Lwin – 4th place – Network Concepts
Mateo Velarde and Ryan Buckingham – 4th place – Business Ethics
From Patriot High School:
Daniel Gigi – 2nd place – Business Calculations
Zoree Jones – 2nd place – Public Speaking
From Potomac High School:
Lily Jones – 4th place – Coding and Programming and Game Simulation
Forest Park High School’s Chapter of FBLA was also recognized as an Honor Chapter during the conference.
