The Prince William County Service Authority is revising the format for this year’s Water Art Invitational awards announcement. The awards ceremony was originally scheduled at the Spittle Building on Thursday, March 12. Instead, the Service Authority will announce this year’s winners via a video, a news release and in-classroom presentations.

Due the evolving situation with coronavirus, the Service Authority has decided to approach this year’s award announcement in a new way. This still ensures the Prince William County high school students who participated in the 2020 Water Art Invitational receive the recognition they deserve!

So sit back, relax and keep an eye out for a Service Authority email announcement next week. We’ll include a link to a video highlighting the winning artwork and recognizing this year’s event sponsors and judges. It will also be posted on the Service Authority’s website, social media accounts and YouTube channel.

The Service Authority will keep students’ 2020 Water Art Invitational entries on display in the Spittle Building Customer Lobby through March 31.

Finally, the Service Authority will be reaching out to high school art teachers to schedule delivery of certificates and checks for the winning students.
