Realtor Association of Prince William to Host 5K Walk/Run to Benefit Local Boys & Girls Club

REALTOR® Association of Prince William (PWAR) will host a 5K Walk/Run to be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 9:00 a. m. in Woodbridge, VA. This family-friendly event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Prince William County/Manassas, whose mission is to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, especially those who need us most, build confidence, develop character and acquire skills needed to become productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.

The race will start and finish at the REALTOR® Association of Prince William (PWAR) building on Daisy Reid Ave in Woodbridge, VA. Packet pick-up and on-site registration begins at 8:00 a. m. with the race to begin at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine. All participants registered by September 1 will be guaranteed an official event t-shirt. Refreshments will be provided and participants are encouraged to dress accordingly with the superhero themed race. Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Adult participants as well as Top 3 children participants plus to the Best Dressed.

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) recently announced a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club, the largest youth-serving organization in America. Established over 100 years ago, the Boys & Girls Club has more than 4,100 chapters nationwide and serves as a ‘second home’ to nearly four million kids each year. The Boys & Girls Club is a ‘home away from home’ for many kids, helping to stabilize lives and foster opportunity by offering positive supervision after school.
