Red Cross Update: Apartment Fire in Woodbridge

The Red Cross of the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region is assisting roughly 25 residents after an apartment fire early this morning on Ripple Creek Court, Woodbridge.  Trained Red Cross disaster response volunteers were at the scene of the fire to provide drinking water, snacks, blankets and comfort kits.  In addition, the Red Cross is providing residents with emotional and mental health support, help replacing medications and other essential items lost in the fire, and other recovery resources, according to need.

In the days and weeks to come, the Red Cross will continue to work with affected residents and provide additional recovery resources to help them get back on their feet.

The Red Cross responds to help local residents impacted by home fires and other disasters throughout the DMV region an average of 100 times each month.
