Forty-nine schools have received the School Board’s highest honor as a “School of Excellence.” The award is based on a school’s performance in the 2016-17 school year, as denoted in the “School of Excellence” flag designated schools will receive. Now, those schools have scheduled celebrations to mark this distinction. School Board members, the Superintendent, and members of the Superintendent’s staff are expected to attend various school ceremonies. Members of the news media are invited to attend these events.
