There are so many reasons for visitors to enjoy Prince William County this fall. September brings the crisp fall weather perfect for enjoying the great outdoors, festivals, live entertainment, and craft food and beverages Prince William has to offer.  Check out the variety of events you can find throughout the region to get out and enjoy! Events include concerts, festivals and family friendly events for the community.

Labor Day Weekend Events:

9/1 Color Vibe 5K (Manassas – GMU Campus)

Get ready for the most colorful fun-filled day of your life! You’ll have more color on you than your happy levels can handle! So get your friends and family stretched out for this amazing color blast event where you’ll get blasted with color while you run the Color Vibe 5K!

9/1 Grand Opening Event at Tucked Away Brewing Company (Manassas)

Come out and enjoy your Labor Day Weekend with good beer and good company! The Frenchman Food Truck will be on site from 1:00-8:00 p. m.

9/1 Kids Fishing Tournament at Leesylvania State Park (Woodbridge)

Plan an afternoon on the Potomac with the kids (ages 2-15) and see what they can catch at Leesylvania State Park. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear. Volunteers will be present to assist the kids throughout the morning too.

9/1 – 9/3 Craft Festival at The Winery at La Grange (Haymarket)

Come out and enjoy live music, craft Virginia wine and a variety of craft vendors all weekend long!

9/1 – 9/3 Waterstock 2018 at Tim’s Rivershore Restaurant & Crab House (Dumfries)

Sip cocktails, feast on fresh seafood and enjoy live music all weekend long at Tim’s Rivershore while they celebrate Labor Day Weekend with music, boats and crabs!

9/1 Farmer’s Market at Potomac Mills Mall (Woodbridge)

Spend the morning exploring over 40 local vendors at the Farmer’s Market at Potomac Mills Mall this Labor Day Weekend.

9/1 Yoga on the Lawn at Rippon Lodge (Woodbridge)

Start the weekend off right at Rippon Lodge with yoga on the lawn. Join certified instructor Christopher Glowacki for an hour-long Vinyasa yoga practice. Beginning yoga students to well-versed devotees are welcomed.

9/1 End of Summer Party at the Electric Palm (Woodbridge)

Celebrate Labor Day at the End of Summer Day party at the Electric Palm from 1:00 – 6:00 p. m. Sign up for the BarPong tournament- winner receives $100 cash prize! The grill will be fired up and filled with hamburgers and hot dogs, and DJ360 will be spinning songs all afternoon.

9/1 – 9/1 Backyard BBQ Festival at Cabela’s (Gainesville)

Join Cabela’s for their Labor Day Backyard BBQ Festival taking place on Saturday and Sunday! This is a FREE event for the entire family! You will find face painting, hot dogs, crafts, a photo opportunity and games!

9/2 White Out Party at Effingham Manor Winery (Nokesville)

Wear your best white attire; bring your white dinnerware, décor and imagination!  Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic or snacks to enjoy along with Effingham Manor’s fantastic wines! This is a FREE event – RSVPs are required to attend; please email to RSVP today!

9/2 Miss Rivershore River Cruise on the Potomac (Woodbridge)

Sit back relax and enjoy the ride on Miss Rivershore as you cruise along the Potomac River to Tim’s Rivershore Restaurant & Crab House. A great way to spend the afternoon soaking up the September sun.

9/2 Jerry Irwin & Britton James at Farm Brew Live (Manassas)

Live music, craft beer and delicious food make for the perfect way to spend Labor Day Weekend.

9/3 Labor Day Farm Fun at The Little Goat Farm at the Lake (Nokesville)

Come out and enjoy some farm fun at the Little Goat Farm at the lake from 1:30 – 4:30 p. m. on Labor Day.

September 2018 Events:

 9/4 Footgolf at General’s Ridge Golf Club (Manassas Park)

Kick off your September right with a game of foot golf at General’s Ridge Golf Club.  Challenge your friends to test your soccer ball kicking skills while enjoy the great outdoors.

9/6 Boot, Scoot, Boogie Line Dancing at Uptown Alley (Manassas)

Dust off your cowboy hats and boots and plan a night to dance the night away at Uptown Alley. Offering free line dancing lessons, DJ entertainment & drink specials.

9/7 Dierks Bentley Mountain High Tour 2018 at Jiffy Lube Live (Bristow)

Spend an evening under the stars at one of Virginia’s most instagrammed attractions, Jiffy Lube Live, and enjoy world class country music.

9/7 Movie Night at River Mill Park (Occoquan)

Bring a blanket or lawn chair pick up a snack in town or pack your own and head down to River Mill Park for movie fun and stunning views of the Occoquan River. Avengers Infinity War is rated PG-13.

9/8 Candlelit Tour of Ben Lomond Historic Site (Manassas)

Come take a special candlelight tour and have a truly immersive Civil War hospital experience, where you will see, smell, and hear an active field hospital. Tour takes place in near dark. This tour may not be suitable for young children.

9/8 Fall Fest & Chili Cook-Off at Stonebridge (Woodbridge)

Prince William County’s premier Chili Cook-Off and Fall Fest at the Stonebridge, Potomac Town Center! Exhibitors, vendors, and top notch entertainment will begin at 11:00 a. m. Look for lots of interactive activities, and prizes.

9/12 Mid-Atlantic Police Motorcycle Rodeo at Potomac Mills (Woodbridge)

More than one hundred motorcycle police officers will be competing in a riding skills rodeo.  This provides training and networking for the officers and fun for the public to watch.  Some proceeds will go to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

9/14 Ozzy Osbourne at Jiffy Lube Live (Bristow)

Enjoy live music in one of the largest outdoor music venues in Northern Virginia.  Watch as Ozzy Osbourne lights up the night at Jiffy Lube Live.

9/16 – 5th Annual Kids Triathlon at Chinn Aquatics (Woodbridge)

Chinn Aquatics is hosting its 5th Annual Kids for Kids Triathlon. Kids will swim, bike and run in this healthy community event. Competition is in three different age groups and all abilities are welcome.

9/16 Arts Alive! At Hylton Performing Arts Center (Manassas)

Prince William County Arts Council and Hylton Performing Arts Center Arts Alive! 2018 on  Sunday, Sept. 16 from 1:00 to 5:00 p. m. This 7th annual family-friendly arts festival features Arts Council members and other community performers and fine artists.

9/22 – Tank Farm Open House (Nokesville)

Family-friendly activities such as vehicles and helicopter displays, living history displays, a scavenger hunt, a veteran’s round table and much more!

9/22 – 2nd Annual Brentsville Day (Bristow)

Come experience this nearly 200-year-old social and political center of Prince William County while we fill the grounds with festivities! Enjoy Bluegrass bands, historic farm demonstrations, living history, historic trades, artisans, food trucks, historic buildings, hay rides and more!

9/22 Beach Campfire at Leesylvania State Park (Woodbridge)

Join a Park Ranger for a campfire program next to a warm fire on the beach to listen to stories, sing along to classical silly campfire songs, play music, and present skits. Bring your own s’mores and lots of energy to have fun.

9/22 National Public Lands Day (Triangle)

Free admission to Prince William Forest Park, part of the National Park Service. Fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite. They will give both first time and repeat visitors a good reason to spend time in our national parks.

9/22 – 9/23 Living History Demonstration at Manassas Battlefield (Manassas)

Join the park Rangers for portrayals of camp life, drill, and historic weapons firing. Demonstrations will take place at Henry Hill.

9/22 Oktoberfest at Brew Republic (Woodbridge)

Join the Brew Republic team for great beer, delicious German-inspired food, traditional music, cool vendors, and fun, both in the tap room and in their expanded outdoor biergarten (they are taking over the street out front)!

9/23 Manassas Latino Festival (Manassas)

Come out and enjoy entertainment and educational opportunities for the entire family while experiencing some of the artistic- cultural expressions of the Latino community residing in the City of Manassas, Manassas Park and Prince William County.

9/23 – 9/24 Wild Western Prince William County Farm Tour (Western Prince William County)

Enjoy a weekend in the country experiencing modern farm life and the rich rural history of western Prince William County at the seventeenth annual Prince William County Farm Tour.

9/29 Fall Migration Bird & Nature Walk at Julie J.Mets Neabsco Wetlands (Woodbridge)

The Julie J. Metz Neabsco Creek Wetlands Preserve is home to a diverse bird population.  Join local birding and nature experts on a guided walk along the trails and boardwalks.  Discover this unique 120-acre property in the heart of Woodbridge.  Bring binoculars and guide books.

9/29 – 9/30 Occoquan Arts & Crafts Festival (Occoquan)

Historic Occoquan will host over 300 contemporary and country crafters and artisans from Occoquan and all around the United States. Come out for a day full of fun, food and shopping.

9/30 Prince William Half Marathon (Bristow)

Sign up today to experience a unique and memorable race from Jiffy Lube Live through Manassas National Battlefield Park and an after party featuring several local bands, food, beer garden and more!
