The Prince William County Service Authority will offer free, environmental-themed presentations to students in public, private and home schools in Prince William County during the 2022-2023 school year through its H2Go Kids Virtual Classroom.

The presentations, which are 20 to 30 minutes long, align with the current Virginia Standards of Learning for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Each engaging lesson plan incorporates discussion opportunities and accompanying worksheets. Curriculum topics include erosion, watersheds, water resource protection, and drinking and wastewater infrastructure. Teachers may choose between live, virtual presentations and pre-recorded videos.

“We are thrilled to continue providing our H2Go Kids program to all Prince William County students and educators,” said Community Outreach Supervisor Michelle Bouchard. “These virtual lessons have reached 20,000 students in the last two years. This year our goal is to expand the educational opportunities even further. We are developing exciting additions like a Loaner Model Program for educators and a complete revamp of our recorded videos.”

In addition to virtual presentations, H2Go Kids also offers at-home experiments, activity sheets and educational videos.
