The Prince William Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that they are once again a Neighborhood Champion for Small Business Saturday®. Launched in 2010 by American Express, the day has quickly become the equivalent of Black Friday for Mom & Pop shops across America. This year Small Business Saturday is on November 26, and the Prince William Chamber is encouraging the people of Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park to not only “shop local” but also to shop Chamber, supporting the member businesses of the Chamber. Finding members to shop with is easy – just go to PWBizFinder.org and type in the keyword for your neighborhood, or the kind of spending you plan to do (e. g., restaurant, retail, home improvement).
“Small Business Saturday is merely the kick-off for the holiday season,” says Chamber Director of Marketing & Communications Andrea Whaley. “Truly our hope is that residents and businesses will shop and spend with Chamber members through Christmas and Hanukkah and beyond. Whether you are shopping for baked goods, jewelry, skincare, or performance auto parts, our members have you covered. There is nothing like supporting a locally-owned business. Our members are so committed to this community; they’re always giving back. Buying from them through the holidays is a great way to express our appreciation.”
