(Washington, D.C.) October 22, 2014 — Award-winning filmmaker Victor Rook gives us a rare glimpse into his diabolical mind with this collection of satirical horror stories. In People Who Need To Die the year is 2021, and people are fed up. The World Order Alliance allows “selective” homicides to reestablish a more peaceful society. A few of the targets: Bad Drivers, Distracted Cell Phone Users,
Spammers, Internet Trolls, Litterbugs, Horrible Bosses, Black Friday Shoppers, and more. The first story written for the collection, “Black Friday Revenge,” in which a father seeks retribution for his son’s death by luring unsuspecting shoppers into an abandoned warehouse, was inspired by news footage of real-life mall tramplings. The book is available on and Barnes & Noble. (200 pp.)

Rook will be doing the first signing for the book this Saturday, October 25, at McKay Books on Sudley Road in Manassas from 11 a.m. till 6 p.m.
