Tiny Dancers’ Spring Recital performance of ‘Sleeping Beauty’
Gainesville, VA — On Sunday, June 9th at Patriot High School in Nokesville, young dancers from Tiny Dancers’ Gainesville studio twirled, tapped and chasséd their way across the stage in their performance of ‘Sleeping Beauty’.
The classic story was given a distinctly modern twist with custom choreography and hit musical numbers including ‘It’s in His Kiss’ ,’Spinning Wheel’, ‘Signing in the Rain’ and ‘Come Fly With Me’. The audience delighted in watching the young dancers transform the stage into a magical place of castles and spells, hopping bunnies and dancing chipmunks.
Of course, no performance of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ would be complete without an evil faery, a beautiful princess and that famous kiss. Dancers and the audience members cheered as the sleeping princess was gently awakened by the handsome prince … and they all lived happily ever after.
Tiny Dancers, located at Virginia Gateway in the Commerce Center, offers a specialized program of ballet, tap and hip-hop for children ages 2-12.
