pwc library(Prince William County, VA, 2/3/2014)… The Prince William Public Library System invites young children and their adults to join The Snuggle Club, our annual winter reading program for ages 0 – 6.  Sign up at any library location between February 1 and March 1, 2014 to receive a Snuggle Club activity log. Have fun completing the activities together while building important early literacy skills!

Bring the activity log back to the library to be rewarded with stickers for each activity completed.  Parents and caregivers who sign up will be entered into a weekly drawing for gift cards to local restaurants,  so sign up beginning February 1 and you and your child will both reap the rewards of reading!  Add to the fun by attending the special Snuggle Club events scheduled throughout February at many libraries.

The Snuggle Club is designed to help children learn to love language and reading, and is based on these principles:

•           Learning begins at birth.

•           Reading is an essential life skill.

•           Parents and caregivers are a child’s first teachers.

•           Public libraries support parents and caregivers as they develop early literacy skills in children.
