You can make a life-saving difference!
The American Red Cross Sound the Alarm program visits at-risk neighborhoods for home fires and installs smoke alarms and provides fire safety education material where needed.
We will visit a community at risk for home fires due to the high density of dwellings, the age of the structures and the diversity of that local area. We’ll go door-to-door to interview residents and determine whether they have working smoke alarms, or any smoke alarm for that matter. Then we install them where needed at no cost to the residents. But we can’t do this without the help of volunteers from our community!
This is part of a nationwide American Red Cross initiative taking place April 18 through May 3.
