Speakers Announced for Navigating the Caregiving Journey on April 13

Lisa McFarren-Polgar, Medicare and Long Term Care Insurance Specialist, and Dan Campbell, LCSW will speak at Navigating the Caregiving Journey on April 13.

Lisa McFarren-Polgar of Starling Benefits will provide a robust overview of Medicare, all of its parts and key timing elements at Navigating the Caregiving Journey, a conference to empower family caregivers with resources and knowledge. She will discuss when Medicare pays for skilled nursing and when it does not, key times of the year to switch from one plan to another, what the difference is between Medicare Advantage and Original Medicare and the financial penalties of delaying some key decisions. “The information will empower you to get the most benefit for your situation and budget,” said Pat Manalio, Director of Strategic Management Partners.

Lisa McFarren-Polgar has served the senior community for nearly 20 years as a specialist in Medicare Supplemental and Long-Term Care Insurance. As an agent, she has helped those who are transitioning into Medicare and those who are already accessing their Medicare benefits better understand their coverage.

Dan Campbell, LCSW, will address Self-Care for Caregivers. Dan will present proven techniques to help caregivers deal with the stress they encounter on a daily basis. “We’re very fortunate to have Dan as one of the speakers at this event. Attendees will find that they will leave his session feeling much more in control of their personal situation,” added Manalio.

Navigating the Caregiving Journey will be held April 13 at All Saints’ Church,14851 Gideon Drive, Woodbridge.
