Holiday Walk of Lights – Begins Dec. 4
The magic returns beginning Dec. 4 at the 4th Annual Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park and Boardwalk. Wander along a nearly mile-long path of stunning, hand-crafted light displays and celebrate the joy of the holiday season. Holidays Through the Ages at Rippon Lodge – Begins Dec. 5
Stroll through seasonal celebrations of the past at Rippon Lodge Historic Site. With interiors and exteriors richly decorated for the holidays, guests enjoy an in-depth exploration of seasonal festivities over the centuries. For all the details and tickets, click here.
Gingerbread Houses at Rippon Lodge – Dec. 5 to 9 and Dec. 12 & 13
Come view and vote during a special contest of holiday gingerbread houses made by the community being showcased at Rippon Lodge Historic Site. You can view and vote for one from three different categories from Dec. 5 to 8, and/or Dec. 12 and 13. Winners will be announced on Dec. 13. Free event; see all the details here.
Holiday Market – Dec. 6
Get your holiday shopping at the annual holiday market where you’ll find unique gifts, crafts, specialty items and your favorite treats at the Prince William County holiday market. The market offers everything from books, jewelry, leather goods, wreaths, holiday items, crochet items and more! You can browse the wide selection of handcrafted goods, children’s clothing and more from your favorite vendors – old and new! Ready-made foods and drinks will also be available for purchase. Ornament Extravaganza – Dec. 6
Are you and your family looking for some holiday fun? If so, come join us for a new spin on a holiday season staple here at Veterans Memorial Park for the Holiday Ornament Exchange! Start planning how you will decorate your specialty ornaments this season. Each registered participant will receive five festive holiday ornaments to decorate. Register today.
Do you want to build a snowman? – Dec. 8
Join Olaf and have some Frozen fun! This program features stories, songs, and crafts. This is a drop-off program for children ages 3 to 5; children must be able to separate from guardians. Held at Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center. Click here to register your child.
Historic Holiday Concert at Brentsville – Dec. 12
Ring in the holiday season with festive music performed by the Brentsville District High School Choir at the beautiful and historic Brentsville Courthouse. Before the concert, come and get your picture taken with Santa! After the concert, join us around the bonfire to sing a few holiday songs yourself. Doors open at 6:55 p.m. *Free event and tickets are not required. Please plan to arrive early as this event typically fills to capacity.
Camp Chinnterfest – Beginning Dec. 22
Looking for something to keep the kids busy over the school holiday break? Sign them up for Camp Chinnterfest! Held at Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center, your student will have the opportunity to participate in supervised camp games, activities and crafts and swimming at our indoor pool.
