If you are looking for something fun to do this summer while staying close to home, look no further! Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge is once again hosting its annual summer concert series. And there are some fantastic events you will not want to miss, including concerts for the whole family.

Concerts for Kids

On Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m., Stonebridge hosts concerts for children ages 2 to 10.

  •  July 19:  Rocknoceros—Featuring kid friendly pop, Rocknoceros has won ten Washington Area Music Awards and is a fun concert for the whole family.
  • July 26: Oh Susannah—Performing a mix of old favorites and new tunes, parents can bring their kids to singalong and stay for the beautiful vocals.
  • Aug. 2: Rocknoceros 
  • Aug. 9: Kidsinger Jim—Kidsinger Jim is one of the most highly respected children’s performers in the Atlantic region. His events range from puppet shows to live music.
  • Aug. 16: Rocknoceros
  • Aug. 23: Peter McCory—This “one man band” plays a variety of familiar tunes, folk songs, original music. His upbeat, interactive renditions are sure to entertain kids and parents alike.
  • Aug. 30: Oh Susannah
  • Sept. 6: Tony M—This fun and educational musical program uses sensory experiences to promote “a positive mental health, growth mindset.”
  • Sept. 13: Kidsinger Jim
  • Sept. 20: Kidsinger Jim
  • Sept. 27: Mister Don

Friday Evening Concerts

There are also concerts geared towards adults. They take place the second and fourth Fridays of the month, and with the many eateries located in the shopping center, people can kick off their weekend with dinner and a show under the stars. Here’s the schedule.

  • July 28: Jimmi Smooth—Self-described as “a blend of classics merged in Urban Soul”, Jimmi Smooth’s summer concert is sure to be a memorable night of Blues and Boogie.
  • Aug. 11: The Moonlighters—This Motown and Variety Dance Band is a perfect fit for those who love to move to the music. Renowned for their showmanship, this concert sounds like a rollicking good time.
  • Aug. 25: The Reflex—This 80s tribute band promises to take you “back in time” performing songs from such performers as Bon Jovi and Madonna.
  • Sept. 8: The Sons of Pirates—Formed in 1998, This Beach Music Band calls themselves “the ultimate party band.”
  • Sept. 22: The Jarreau Williams Experience—Jarreau Williams, who is often called “the man with the golden pipes,” sings 80s and 90s modern R&B grooves, beatbox, and nostalgic lyrical innuendo” while sending a sweet and necessary message about “self-love. unity, perseverance, and positive vibes.”
