STUDY OF OCCOQUAN WATERSHED UNDERWAY

The Department of Public Works will host an informational meeting to share plans for a study of the Occoquan Watershed with the community on Monday, April 1, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 107A of the Development Services Building, 5 County Complex Court in Woodbridge. Citizens will be given the opportunity to discuss plans and ask questions about the study.

Staff from Public Works and Wetland Studies & Solutions will study several areas within the Occoquan Watershed. The study will assess the condition and function of streams and stormwater management facilities within the watershed. Results of the study will help the County gain an understanding of current issues and potential problems, as well as develop projects and strategies to improve water quality. These results will be posted on the Prince William County web site.
