Science and Technology Campus will host several great summer programs this year:
- Organizers expect 5,000 young people to attend camp during the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center’s 16th annual summer camp season, June 19 to August 28. The catalog offers many choices for fun and learning over the summer: basketball, swim lessons, field trips to minor league baseball games and water parks, spy camp, and engineering for kids.
Learn more. - The highly competitive Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program runs from June 25 to August 14. The program gives high school and undergraduate-level students the opportunity to work alongside top Mason researchers. Using state-of-the-art technology, participants will explore hypothesis-driven questions in fields including Proteomics, Genomics, Medicine, and Neuroscience. Learn more.
- Early Identification Program (EIP) Summer Academy will bring approximately 140 rising 9th to 12th graders from Manassas Park, Manassas City and Prince William County Public Schools to Science and Technology Campus July 6 to 24. EIP students are first generation college-bound students; the three-week Summer Academy offers them progressive enrichment in Mathematics, English, Technology, and Science, as well as workshops in college preparation, career development, leadership, and life skills.
