Leesylvania State Park has the following summer job openings:
Maintenance Ranger: Responsible, result-oriented individuals needed who are able to work at times without direct supervision and who can prioritize tasks and positively interact with the public. Duties focus on assisting in the daily running of park facilities and grounds keeping.
Contact Ranger: Outgoing applicants needed to assist visitors to Leesylvania by providing information regarding services available and other local attractions.
Concessionaire Services: Detail-oriented and friendly individuals needed to assist in the operation of Leesylvania State Park’s concessionaire services. PWL Most duties will center on the park-operated Breakwater Marina Store, located between the two boat launches, and the smaller Snack Shack by the fishing pier.
Visitor Center/Interpreter: Outgoing and responsible individuals with a strong interest in working with a wide variety of customers needed to assist with interpretive duties at the Visitor Center.
Also, the Education Support Specialist provides meaningful educational opportunities and experiences for park guests by interpreting the significance of the park’s natural/historical/and cultural resources. The Education Support Specialist is responsible for the daily planning and conducting of interpretive programs and educational outreach, including corresponding with the general public, schools, scout groups, etc. about programming. This position is open until filled.
