TD Bank presented a check to Northern Virginia Veterans Association to mark the end of their annual #TDBringChange Campaign. The presentation took place on Veterans Day at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas prior to the Hylton’s Veterans Day Celebration.
Constantine Ferssizidis, Vice President at TD Bank, presented the check to Northern Virginia Veterans Association. He says, “Bring Change is an opportunity where we allow the community to donate on behalf of an organization that we choose and that we feel we have a connection with within the communities that we serve.”
Dr. Angela McConnell, President of Northern Virginia Veterans Association, accepted the check on behalf of the organization. She says, “I want to thank TD Bank for finding us. They’re not only the most convenient bank; what really resonated with us as an organization that works personally day in and day out with veterans and their families is that they’re a human bank. They take personal care of their customers just like we do with our veterans. I want to thank them and their employees for everything they’re doing for our local veterans.”
NOVA Veterans Association is a one-stop personal nonprofit that, at no cost, guides military families and veterans to the local community resources that best meet their needs. It provides comprehensive support to veterans from healthcare to housing to employment. The association case-manages and follows up to relieve frustration and confusion so veterans are taken care of in a caring and effective way.
