Team Members from Hilton Worldwide Global Headquarters Show Support for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington

WHAT:           Team Members from Hilton Worldwide’s Global Headquarters in McLean, VA celebrate the company’s annual Global Month of Service, October 2015.
Over 150 volunteers from Hilton Worldwide including CEO & President Chris J. Nassetta, will join Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) to renovate the Martin K. Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Manassas. Hilton volunteers will update, paint, and install furniture and electronics in the Club’s entrance, games room, education center and teen room allowing for a fun, safe space for youth to enjoy and spend time while offering an improvement environment for conducting enrichment programs.
The Martin K. Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Manassas is one of the largest in the area with over 940 registered members, serving an average of 110 children a day after school. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, especially those who need us most, build confidence, develop character and acquire the skills needed to become productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.
WHEN:           October 30, 2015 from 10:00 am3:00 pm
WHO:              Hilton Worldwide CEO & President Chris J. Nassetta, along with Hilton Worldwide executives and team members from the company’s global headquarters, will participate throughout the day offering their muscle, talent and passion to help build a new inviting space for the kids.

WHY:              Global Month of Service is Hilton Worldwide’s largest annual community service initiative and mobilizes hundreds of thousands of Team Members from every region to engage in thousands of volunteer projects happening around the world. Volunteers offer their time and talents to support a wide range of activities including conserving natural resources, mentoring and training young people, creating amenity care packages for communities in need, collecting surplus food and distributing to underserved communities and aiding local communities devastated by disaster.
