The Manassas Chorale presents their spring concert, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, on Friday, June 3, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. Take a musical journey with the Chorale, its smaller ensemble, orchestra, and the Greater Manassas Children’s Choir for an evening of music that features ‘time’ as a central theme. Directed by Rebecca Verner, the concert features favorite classics including “Yesterday” and “Hey Jude” from the Beatles, “Today” from the New Christy Minstrels, and “Tomorrow” from Annie!
Founded in 1994, the Manassas Chorale presents four major concerts each season. Awarded Inside NOVA Best of Prince William’s Best Performing Arts Group in 2020, the Chorale’s mission is to promote a greater appreciation and enjoyment of quality music, both classical and contemporary, throughout the greater Manassas community. In recent years, in addition to area concerts, the Chorale has sung at the Washington National Cathedral and Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City, and three European tours, singing in Germany, France, Austria, Ireland, Wales, and England.
Since 2007, the Chorale has partnered with several local charitable organizations for “Concerts with a Cause,” in which singers and audience members are asked to support area organizations.
