The Prince William Area Agency on Aging’s Communication, Referral, Information & Assistance (CRIA) and Supportive Services Division has assisted, connected and provided invaluable information and services to caregivers, clients and residents alike in the Prince William Area for many years. As the pandemic has shown, the need for pertinent information and reliable services has increased. Now more than ever, families are looking for ways to connect to resources that both sustain and empower their loved ones to continue to age in place.

The process starts with an intake with the CRIA team. These trained professionals listen to clients and caregivers to gather important information that helps them make timely, efficient referrals to services within the Agency on Aging or to one of the many local community partners. The Supportive Services team evaluates the needs of each client, utilizing assessment tools and person-centered practices that focus on enhancing the lives of clients and assists in completing a comprehensive plan of care.

The pandemic has shown that access to care is just as important as receiving care. Although the office is not taking in-person appointments or completing face-to-face assessments at this time, callers can contact the Intake Line via telephone at 703-792-6374, or email the agency at pwaaa@pwcgov.org to request information regarding service availability. Visit the Area Agency on Aging site for more information.
