The Rose Gaming Resort and its parent company Churchill Downs Incorporated are partnering with Delegate Luke Torian, Delegate Candi Mundon King, and Delegate Briana Sewell for a special Thanksgiving turkey giveaway in Woodbridge this Saturday, Nov. 22.

Approximately 750 turkeys will be available for Prince William residents free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis at Gar-Field High School, 14000 Smoketown Road, Woodbridge, beginning at 9 a.m on Saturday.

“Prince William County, and the Town of Dumfries in particular, have really embraced The Rose and made us feel so welcomed and supported during our first year of operation,” said Aaron Palmer, Director of Virginia Government Relations for Churchill Downs Incorporated. “This turkey giveaway and our philanthropic efforts throughout the year are part of our commitment to remaining engaged and productive partners in the communities, like Dumfries and Prince William, where our team members live and work.”

The Rose Gaming Resort and Rosie’s Gaming Emporiums around the state contribute to local organizations and causes through the “Rosie’s Gives Back” program which has made more than $5.4 million in direct donations and in-kind contributions, and donated thousands of hours of volunteer service. The program supports a range of nonprofits and causes around Virginia including groups providing services in education, workforce development, healthcare, and support for veterans and law enforcement.
