In June 2012, the Hickox Family opened The Winery at Bull Run, a working farm winery nestled against the Manassas National Battlefield and Bull Run Creek. Over the past ten years, guests from the D.C. area and beyond have visited The Winery at Bull Run to experience its three distinct Wine Tours, enjoy its award-winning Virginia wines, and appreciate its rich history and beautiful vineyards. With all of its wines crafted and bottled on site, The Winery at Bull Run is a a true “grape to glass” experience.

The Winery at Bull Run is planning a 10-day long celebration, from June 1 to 10 to mark this milestone. Festivities will include a 10-Year Anniversary Wine release, Library Wine Auction, special tasting event with winemaker, Ashton Lough, Wine Club Member Appreciation Bash, and a Hillwood Park concert by The Special Occasions Band on the night of Friday, June 10.

“It has been a great pleasure to witness The Winery at Bull Run grow over the past ten years. I am proud to say we have always stayed true to our mission of crafting fine Virginia wines & paying tribute to the rich history of the land on which we sit. Join us as we celebrate this June!” – Jon Hickox, Founder & Owner

“The Winery at Bull Run exemplifies the farm to table experience by growing Virginia fruit on 65 acres of vineyards and making it into quality Virginia wine. During the 10-Year Anniversary celebration, I will be offering a vertical tasting of our Viognier, ‘Virginia’s signature grape’, so guests can experience how the wine has aged over the years in a fun & educational setting!” – Ashton Lough, Winemaker

“Wow, in ten years we went from less than two acres in one vineyard to 65 acres in five vineyards and now two wineries (The Winery at Bull Run & Old Farm Winery at Hartland). I’m excited to see what adventures the future brings. I am honored to have been a part of this journey from the first vine planted, to celebrating our 10-Year Anniversary this June.”  -Wayne Mills, Vineyard Manager
