Lane closures will be in effect during nighttime hours next week on northbound I-495 near the Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard) exit. Single-lane closures will begin at 9:30 p. m., with 20-minute full closures occurring between 12:00 midnight and 4:00 a. m. All lanes will reopen by 5:00 a. m. These closures are necessary for ongoing tolling construction for the future I-66 Express Lanes Inside the Beltway.
Lanes will be closed as follows, weather permitting:
- Beginning at 9:30 p. m., Tuesday, May 2 until 5:00 a. m., Wednesday, May 3: Closures will occur on the collector-distributor lane on northbound I-495 near the Route 50 (Arlington Blvd.) exit at mile marker 50.1. In the event of inclement weather, the work will be completed between 9:30 p. m. on Wednesday, May 3 and 5:00 a. m. on Thursday, May 4.
